The Global Pet Expo, held from March 20th to March 22nd, is co-hosted by APPA and PIDA. It is a flagship professional pet trade show in North America, exclusively open to retailers, distributors, market buyers, and other verified industry professionals. This edition of the expo, themed “Innovation in Motion Experience,” attracted over 1,100 exhibitors showcasing more than 3,400 brands of innovative products. Among them, there were over 240 exhibitors from China, nearly doubling compared to 2023, reaching a historical high.

The expo’s biggest feature is the display of new products in a designated area, covering pet food, supplies, technology, sustainable and eco-friendly products, and more. The variety is comprehensive, offering a wide array of options and showcasing the latest global pet trends, craftsmanship, and outstanding industry-related solutions to industry professionals and attendees.

The exhibits still predominantly consist of products for dogs and cats, which make up around 80% of the market. Among them, food and snacks account for approximately 70%, followed by toys, medications, and others. Our company’s pet cages represent a small category. If we aim for growth in the pet industry, cages serve as an entry point, but for sustained development, innovation and diversification are essential. Many domestic importers have booths at this event, including MidWest (cages), Petmate (toys and cages), MaxMarlo (cages), and LIFETIME (plastic pet cages).
